From Your Daughter

Dear Mom,

While we had a rough start to a long over due phone conversation the other day.  You have to know just how much it soothed my soul and heart to hear your voice.  It was nice to get past that slightly rocky start.  Your tone changed when I told you that, I could hear anger or annoyance in your voice.  I don't think you meant to sound that way.  But, I do, believe, I caught you during a moment that you regularly don't take phone calls.  I understand, you were busy or rather, I interrupted your time.  Still, it meant a lot to hear your voice.  And most especially, for us to settle back into the relaxed and pure engaged back and forth chatter.  Good to hear you stay busy.  More so, good to hear about how the weeks and months have been to you.

I really enoyed our brief dialogue and just wanted you to know how often thoughts of you enter my mind.  Despite my family life, you are my family and not even the routine of parenting can replace that Mom.  So, let's continue those phonecalls.  And I'm happy to make the move every time, because you are worth it!

As I've been trying to get your blog going, I've also been committing to my own blog.  Here's my dedication to you.  Read at your leisure.

Love you Mom,
Mary Pat

p.s. I won't inundate you with daily blogs.  Will take a step back and blog as time permits.  Love you!
